Rated 5 out of 5 by ms mix it from Fantastic Standard Feature We've had our Kitchenaid suite of appliances for nearly 10 years and all have been problem free. This is the King Kong of oven racks! It doesn't falter under the weight of a 16" cast iron skillet filled to the brim with lasagna or chicken pie; nor my roaster with a 28 lb turkey; nor my massive Le Creuset dutch oven. It slides out like button every single time. It takes some finessing to get it out during cleaning, but that is to be expected - otherwise, it would fail under the weight.

We just got our new Range installed, it came with one of these already which our contracted installed when he was installing the range. We bought a second HD Sliding Rack and attempted to install it ourselves, it wasn't simple as advertised but it did go in finally. If you don't get it the first time, be patient and work with it. Note to Kitchenaid, an install and removal video would be helpful.

There was a stop on the left side but not on the right. So the rack would stop with a firm left end but a wobbly one-inch away on the other side. The rack holds a light tray but we are worried about using anything heavier.

The sliding rack fits in and installs fine but it doesn't match the original racks that came with our oven. KODE500SS. There is no grab handle in the center and the rack does not wrap on the ends leaving sharp metal edges exposed. Our appliance person is trying to find out how to replace it with one that matches the others that come standard with the ovens - would really appreciate the help in sourcing it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by lindacp from Cannot install This seems like a good heavy duty rack, but is impossible to install. We removed the rack from the bottom position (where our installer put it) - it was very difficult to remove and you have to be extremely careful not to scratch the inside of the oven. Now we cannot put it back in. We are following the directions in the manual, but they don't make sense - we can't see at any time you could "angle the rack downward" (p. 17) or "raise rack assembly to flat position". It doesn't slide easy at all, so you feel like you are scraping it - I really wish there was a video somewhere. At this point we are stuck not putting it back in. Makes me wish we hadn't bought this model (30 inch commercial gas range). Never had this experience with any other range sliding rack.
