1. REMOVE FOOD/RESIDUE WITH A SCRAPER
For stubborn messes, a scraper designed for ceramic glass cooktops may be used to clean the surface. Gently scraping the surface at the correct angle will loosen the remnants without causing damage to your cooktop.
For best results, use the scraper while the cooktop is still warm, but not hot to the touch. It is recommended to wear an oven mitt while scraping the warm cooktop.
Hold the scraper at approximately a 45° angle against the glass surface and scrape the residue. It will be necessary to apply pressure in order to remove the residue.
- Allow the cooktop to cool down before proceeding to Step 2.
2. SPRITZ THE GLASS STOVE TOP WITH VINEGAR OR CLEANER
Once the glass stove top is cool to the touch, generously spray the surface with vinegar diluted with water or your cleaning solution to loosen burnt residue.
Allow the vinegar or cleaning solution to sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
Wipe the surface clean with a soft cloth or cleaning wipes; avoid scouring pads and scrub brushes as these may damage the surface.
3. Apply Glass Stove Top Cleaner
After you have scraped the surface and removed the remaining residue, apply a dime-sized drop of affresh®cooktop cleaner/ceramic glass cooktop cleaner to the affected areas.
Rub the affresh®cleaner onto the cooktop surface with a blue cooktop scrubbing pad. Reasonable pressure is needed to remove stubborn stains.
- Allow the cleaner to dry to a white haze before proceeding to Step 4.
4. Polish the Glass Stove Top
Using a clean, dry cloth or paper towel, gently and thoroughly polish the entire cooktop surface.
5. Repeat Steps 1-4 as Necessary
If stubborn residue remains after following this process, repeat the steps until the surface is clean. Scraping the cooktop may be necessary to break up the remaining problem areas.
Spritz the glass stove top with vinegar or cleaner.
Remove food/residue with a scraper.
Apply glass stove top cleaner.
Polish the glass stove top.
