However when we tried elderberries there was a green, very sticky covering on the spiral.It was difficult to remove with soap and water. We finally used Purple Power soap and a paper towel. I anyone also experienced this with other berries please offer your solution. I think there had been a little stickiness with the strawberries. It must be something in the seeds. We will continue to use our mixer, love it. Washing in the dish washer did remove much of the 'goo

I processed apples and tomatoes this summer with this attachment. So easy! So fast! So fantastic! Love, love love love... I am excited for this coming summer so I can use it again. Rated 5 out of 5 by grasswhacker from just keeps chugging. i think we got this two weeks ago but haven't used it until today.we are canning roma tomatoes and this thing really does a good job,what i did was run the tomatoes through the strainer three times to get more juice out of the tomatoes,but i wouldn't try four times like i did - you might say it got a little constipated- by that i mean what was left was so dry that i had to take it apart and clean the screen to get more tomatoes through it,but otherwise it worked great.
