Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from The best I have owned in 35 years I have used Kitchenaid blenders for 35 years. They have changed a bunch over the years and got better each time. (I have also bought other blenders along the way, but always returned them.) I make a very think smoothie every morning. I eat it with a spoon. This blender is the best I have used. By using the "ice crush" setting to start off, it really does the job very quickly. I make my smoothie with a little water, then 2 bananas, then the rest with frozen fruit filled to the top. I do not like my smoothie pureed. Other blenders seem to have to run longer to get the frozen fruit mixed up, but not with this one. I am really pleased. If anything, I would wish for a larger container, because this motor could handle it.

They don’t use it everyday, but they needed to keep a blender in their arsenal. I purchased this at the recommendation of serious eats on their best budget blender list. I had the chance to try out the blender myself and it’s not bad. I personally have a vitamix, but this blender does the job without any unnecessary bells and whistles. Which reminded me on my vitamix. If I was in the market for a blender I would be happy with this.

I make smoothies with it and my wife has told me she loves the consistency. I had a Ninja in the past but it went out quickly as did my parents. This unit is also much quieter. My family disliked how loud it was in the mornings, so having this unit has been great.
